The NFL is on a season-to-season basis. There is a ton of movement and hope for the next season due to teams making aggressive trades and player movement due to free agency.

Unfortunately for Charger fans, that was the case for linebacker Drue Tranquill. Tranquill will remain in the AFC West and join the Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs.

The Chiefs are adding one of the Chargers best defenders and is coming off a career year totaling 144 tackles, 5.5 sacks, and 4 pass breaks ups.

When players leave a team, that said team typically posts a farewell to the player, wishing them the best in the rest of their career. For Drue, the Chargers' social media team posted a statement by the 27-year-old stating he is grateful for his time in LA.

However, fans weren't happy with the Chargers posting it, leading to many angry fans in the comment section.

Charger fans are in their feelings and you can't blame them. The Bolts will at least see Tranquill twice a year next season. The Norte Dame alum signed a one-year deal with Kansas City and is hoping to capture his first ring with the defending Super Bowl champs.

LA drafted the linebacker in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL draft. He played in all 17 games with the Chargers in 2022 and recored his first interception of his career. He had career-highs all across the board.

His loss will be felt and worst of us, the Chargers won't get to escape him.
