There are few things more satisfying in the NFL than a great coach-quarterback duo. The Los Angeles Chargers believe they have that in Jim Harbaugh and Justin Herbert.

It's no secret that Harbaugh was a desired head coaching candidate for the Chargers, and Los Angeles succeeded in getting their guy. One of the most appealing factors in hiring Harbaugh was the chance to pair him with Herbert.

This move has received praise from across the NFL, including from multiple analysts. Several analysts spoke on why they think Harbaugh and Herbert will be a successful pairing.

"It will be a fascinating transition for him in a good way. I think that Justin has proven that no matter who is coaching him, he's going to give you a chance most Sundays to win."

Though Herbert has just a 30-32 record through almost four full seasons as an NFL starter, he regularly keeps his team in close games. Hopefully, with a coach like Harbaugh, Herbert and the Chargers will finally turn those close losses into wins — even if that means breaking the Chargers' curse of bad luck.

"I think it's a big deal because every quarterback Harbaugh has worked with has gotten better. I don't think Justin Herbert has a lot of areas where he can really improve a lot, but I think like the little things like learning how to be a veteran quarterback in the NFL."

Steven Ruiz, via Chargers Communications.

As Ruiz points out, Harbaugh has a great reputation when it comes to the quarterbacks he's worked with. This includes Andrew Luck, J.J. McCarthy, Alex Smith and Colin Kaepernick. With a quarterback as incredibly talented as Herbert, it's exciting to even imagine what Harbaugh will be able to scheme up with Herbert.
