Chargers News: Former LA Defender Ejected After Egregious Shot To Justin Herbert
Former Los Angeles Charger and current Raiders defensive end Jerry Tillery has been ejected from the Week 4 contest after this dirty hit to QB Justin Herbert.
Herbert was heading out of bounds after he scrambled out of the pocket, and Tillery delivered the unnecessary blow to the Bolts' star QB.
The play was later reviewed, and the officials decided to eject the defensive end. The Chargers capitalized on the call, as they marched down to score seven and now hold a 10-point lead, 17-7.
Tillery was drafted by Los Angeles and spent his first four seasons in the league here from 2019-2022. He was a first-round draft pick and recorded 10.5 sacks, 98 combo tackles, 12 tackles for loss, and 33 QB hits as a Bolt in 54 games.
Tillery made a horrible decision there, and the officials made the right call to eject him.
