Your Los Angeles Chargers enter their game against the Baltimore Ravens this weekend desperately needing a win. They are coming off two straight poor performances that resulted in close losses, dropping their record to 4-6 on the season.

Baltimore comes into the game at 8-3 on the season, and they would retain their status as the number-one seed in the AFC with a victory. This game features two teams heading in opposite directions, but there is still plenty of star power on display.

Overwhelmingly across the NFL predictions sphere, the Ravens are being taken to knock off the Chargers. With the way both teams come into the game, it’s not surprising that many went with Baltimore.

“It's never a good thing when a team is badly in need of a win to stay in the playoff picture and one of the leading MVP contenders is standing in the way. On top of that, the Chargers need a plan to slow down Lamar Jackson without their best defensive player. The Ravens have found a way to self-destruct at times this season, but they seem like amateurs in that category compared to the Bolts. Los Angeles has never lost three consecutive games in one regular season since Brandon Staley was hired in 2021. I expect that to change on Sunday night.”

Per Dan Parr of NFL.com

Only two pundits picked the Bolts to win this weekend, one from NFL Network and one from ESPN. Dan Graziano of ESPN and Marc Sessler of NFL Network both have the Chargers pulling the upset. Graziano didn’t give a score prediction but Sessler has them winning 31-22.

If the Chargers are able to pull off the win, it may just save their season. Moving to 5-6 on the year instead of 4-7 would keep them alive in the playoff hunt, and give them a massive win over one of the better teams in the AFC.
