The Chargers need to adjust during this bye week.

The Chargers are 2-2 and are going into the team's bye week on a 2-game win streak and look to continue it after a long period of rest and recovery.

The Chargers beat their division rival, the Las Vegas Raiders, in a 24-17 win at SoFi Stadium.

Joe Reedy of Yahoo News just came out with an article noting a significant change the Chargers need to address during this bye week.

"After squandering a two-touchdown lead and losing in overtime at Tennessee in Week 2, the Chargers have won their past two. One-score games though have become the norm with the Chargers. Since Staley became coach in 2021, they lead the league with 26 and have gone 14-12."

In the last three weeks, the Chargers have dominated their opponents throughout the first half of the game.

Leading by double-digits at one point in the game has happened for the Chargers in their last three games, but all of them ended in a touchdown or less final score.

This has been a trend since Brandon Staley became the head coach, and it is a trend that needs to stop if this team wants to make it far in the postseason.

During Staley's tenure, they have outscored teams by 122 points, the fifth-highest margin in the league. After halftime, they have been outscored by 94 points, which is 28th in scoring differential.

The Chargers were not able to score a single point in the second half of the Raider's game after scoring 24 in the first two quarters.

Justin Herbert was playing hurt due to his middle finger fracture to his non-throwing hand, but the offense needs to adjust to the changes their opponents make.

The Chargers need to learn how to make adjustments on the fly and be fluid in their offense, or teams will continue to beat them in the second half of games, eventually turning some of these close games into losses for the Chargers.
