The NFL schedule was released on Thursday, and players, fans, and teams couldn't be more excited to get the 2023 season rolling. Many teams want to redeem themselves, show how much they've improved, and maybe get revenge on specific teams.

The Chargers aren't worried about revenge, per se, but one-star player is looking for some, specifically in Week 13. Chargers star DB J.C. Jackson admitted he's looking forward to taking on his former team, the New England Patriots, and called it a 'revenge game.'

“It’s a revenge game for me, man,” Jackson said, when appearing on NFL Network on Thursday. “I’m excited to go back and pick Mac Jones off and show them why they should’ve never let me go.”

The one-time Pro Bowler appeared on NFL Network to discuss the 2023 schedule and didn't hold back on his feelings about his former squad and their upcoming matchup. The wound seems tender to J.C. to this day as he insinuated the Patriots 'let him go.'

Jackson signed as an undrafted rookie in 2018 and established himself as one of the better corners in the game. He signed a big-time contract with the Bolts before the 2022 season for five years, $82.5 million.

His first year as a Charger ended abruptly as he ruptured his patellar tendon early in the 2022 season, but he is gearing toward a return to starting in the 2023 season.

Every game means something to someone; however, we all know what game is circled on Jackson's calendar. Chargers will travel to New England to take them on in early December.
