Is the next head coach of the Los Angeles Chargers currently coaching in college?

Well, if you ask many around the Chargers organization, it could be. The latest name connected to the Bolts is Jim Harbaugh, who is currently the coach at the University of Michigan.

Harbaugh has roots with the Chargers organization, having finished his career with the franchise years ago. He has been linked with the Bolts for some time now, and they currently have a job opening at the head coaching spot.

The organization fired Brandon Staley after another frustrating season and is now searching for the next leader of the team. Harbaugh does make some sense, but it could be hard to pry him from Michigan.

The Wolverines made the College Football Playoff for the second straight season, and Harbaugh has found a lot of success at his alma mater. He finally responded to all of the rumors about the Chargers during a media session, and pretty much gave the answers that many expected him to.

Fans have been clamoring for Harbaugh to give any inclination about his future, but the veteran head coach has refused to do so. His answers essentially gave nothing away about his plans, and he likely did this to

His focus is on winning the National Championship with Michigan, and then his future will take shape. If he were to say anything about the Chargers opening, it could cause a distraction for his players.

Harbaugh is a professional at coach speak, and he was ready for the questions at hand. This narrative won't go away until the Chargers hire a new head coach, or Harbaugh signs an extension with the Wolverines.
