Chargers News: Joshua Palmer Re-Injures Knee in 1st Quarter of SNF, Limps Off Field

Uh oh.

Your Los Angeles Chargers' No. 2 wide receiver since Mike Williams went down, Joshua Palmer, appeared to re-injure his knee following a hit on an early catch in the first quarter against the Chicago Bears.

Per Jeff Miller of The Los Angeles Times, Palmer departed the field while moving gingerly, unable to put wait on the injured leg, making a beeline for the club's medical tent.

For the year, the 6'1", 210-pound Tennessee product had caught 20 total receptions for 353 yards and one touchdown, averaging 17.6 yards per carry heading into the night against Chicago, where LA is heavily favored.

So far, Palmer's absence hasn't adversely impacted LA's night. The Chargers currently lead the Bears 14-0, with 00:43 remaining on the clock for their bout's opening frame. Justin Herbert is 11-for-11 in passes thus far, for 120 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions. He boasts a near-perfect 151.7 quarterback rating.

UPDATE:

Palmer has been put back into the game. Per the contest's NBC Sunday Night Football broadcast, he let out a tremendous scream while in the medical tent getting whatever treatment he underwent to return to the field.
