The Los Angeles Chargers will be going into the 2023 season with some high expectations, most of which are due to their star QB Justin Herbert. At only 25- years old, Herbert has already established himself as one of the best QBs in the game today and will need to be great in order for his team to be great.

Justin has all the tools and abilities to get it done; not only does a QB need to be great from a talent standpoint, but he needs to be able to communicate and establish relationships/trust with his whole team. However, he has yet to do that with his new rookie WR, Quentin Johnston

Johnston spoke to the media after his first day at rookie minicamp and has yet to chat it up with his new QB.

Johnston said quarterback Justin Herbert has not yet reached out to him. “He followed me on Instagram when I first got drafted,” Johnston said. “I ain’t really get a chance to talk to him yet. But hopefully soon.”

In defense of Herbert, he is still recovering from shoulder surgery and is in the midst of contract negotiations. There is no doubt that Justin will build that rapport with his new teammates, including Johnston.

Who knows, Quenton could be Jusitn's new favorite target and combine for the most touchdowns in Charger history. I know I'm getting ahead of myself, but wouldn't that be something?

Communication is key, and there is still plenty of time to develop that in the offseason.
