Most people in the place of Justin Herbert probably could not help themselves but get a little greedy here and there. Herbert is only 25-years-old and has made the postseason just once in his short NFL career.

However, the Chargers who play in one of the biggest markets in the entire world want to make him one of the highest paid players in the NFL. The fact that he is currently recovering from a torn labrum does not faze them because GM Tom Telesco has made it clear they see a Super Bowl in the future with Herbert leading them.

One would think that the young star would be working day and night with the front office to agree on an amount of money to lock up him up as a Bolt. But that hasn't really been the case as Herbert revealed his mind is set on getting back to the field healthy and he is putting no pressure on LA when it comes to an extension.

QB Justin Herbert also said he's more focused on rehabbing and quarterbacking right now than any contract negotiations, leaving the business to his agents. Indicated he doesn't really have any deadline in mind for getting a new deal."

Just a quick reminder... this is the same QB that broke multiple records through his first three seasons in the league and has also watched the likes of Jalen Hurts and Lamar Jackson receive their new deals.

But just pay attention the comfort and confidence of Herbert folks. He knows he's getting paid and is much more focused on being healthy to win more games in 2023.
