Chargers' QB suffered a nasty finger injury in Week 4 against the Raiders which left questions about his availability for the team's next primetime game.

The former Oregon product assured reporters that his ailment wouldn't restrict him from playing next Monday night against Dallas albeit with some specific plays off the playbook.

“We have some under-center plays. I think it’s just something that, as the week goes on, it gets better and better, and we’ll approach that later,” said Herbert, who is third in the league with a 106.3 passer rating. Whether I was running the ball or whether I was throwing the ball, I felt pretty comfortable out there," he said. "I think there’s so much going on during the game that you’re probably not going to be worrying about it too much. I think you’re just going to be worried about not getting tackled or not taking those hits.”

Herbert noticeably struggled in the second half against division rival Vegas and threw his first interception of the season in the Raiders' near successful comeback.

LA's signal-caller failed to reach 200 yards through the air but his effort on the ground through the first half was enough to get past the Raiders before a much-needed bye week.

The Bolts' passer will need his best against a tough Cowboys defense missing some pieces due to injury after some added motivation from their primetime loss in Week 5.

Dallas boasts a tough secondary that Herbert and his weapons will need to sift through even after losing Trevon Diggs to a torn ACL earlier in the season.

All eyes are on the final game of Week 6 between the two-loss teams and Herbert's injury will be one to monitor throughout the night.
