One of the most glaring issues among the Los Angeles Chargers in the 2022 season was all the injuries that seemingly everybody was playing through. Even though it was clear at times that most were not moving up to their usual expectations, they still knew what was at stake should they miss multiple games.

Justin Herbert was no exception here as he played through multiple shoulder and rib injuries. Finally when the offseason rolled around, he made it a point to address the torn labrum in his left shoulder. There was big breath of relief from every Charger fan when they realized that it was not his throwing arm.

However, since undergoing the surgery, Herbert revealed that he has yet to throw a football since LA got bounced in the wild card round against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The young star also feels he's making good progress but is not ready for most contact drills yet.

QB Justin Herbert estimated his left shoulder is about 75% healed from his torn-labrum surgery. He hasn't thrown since the procedure and said he's working toward starting some light throwing in the next couple weeks."

With the regular season and even preseason still being months away, this good news to hear. Herbert underwent his procedure just before the month of February and has had a top-notch medical team ensuring that he goes through all of the proper rehab.

Thursday night also probably served as a motivating factor for Herbert to get back to the field as soon as possible as the Chargers just drafted a brand new wide receiver option for him in Quentin Johnston.

Fans always went crazy when Herbert pulled up to their draft party.
