Chargers News: Justin Herbert Leads the Pack in QBs Among 25 and Under Players List
Though the NFL has been injected with insane QB depth in the past five drafts, one name stands out among the rest.
In a poll by The Athletic with opinions from league executives and coaches, Chargers signal caller Justin Herbert was ranked as the best quarterback age 25 or younger.
Herbert burst onto the scene in 2020, earning Offensive Rookie of the Year honors, and has done more with less compared to many of his peers. He is the consensus pick for the best quarterback 25 years and younger. The Chargers
rewarded Herbert
just a couple of weeks ago with a five-year, $262.5 million contract that features $218.7 million guaranteed.

Ranking just ahead of last year's NFC champion Jalen Hurts and the man who engineered Jacksonville's comeback against Los Angeles in Trevor Lawrence, Herbert ranked as the sixth overall player from the list of 25.
The only players to rank ahead of Herbert on offense were Justin Jefferson of the Minnesota Vikings and Jamarr Chase of the Cincinnati Bengals, both receivers who were teammates for the famed 2020 LSU Tigers.
On the defensive side of the ball, two pass rushers were named ahead of Herbert in Nick Bosa of the San Francisco 49ers and Micah Parsons of the Dallas Cowboys.
Only one other defender made it over Herbert, and it was Pat Surtain II, a familiar face for the Denver Broncos, who the Bolts are set to see twice this season as divisional foes.
With such great young competition all across the league, it's an honor for Herbert to be named the best of the most critical position in the sport.
Bolts fans are happy to have the former Oregon product and look forward to what other lists he can top in the future.
