The 2023 NFL season kicks off tomorrow. There is a ton of excitement going into the next season, and a ton of it is coming from Charger fans. After a disappointing end to their 2022 season, LA is seeking to redeem themselves and show that was a fluke.

They’re chomping at the bit to get back to it, and it will all kick off this Sunday. Why wouldn’t you be if you had a future superstar in the making in QB Justin Herbert? Herbert has a ton on his plate heading into this year, and things keep piling up for the 25-year-old as he is entering 2023 with the fourth-best odds to win NFL MVP according to BetMGM

The three players in front of Herbert are Josh Allen, Joe Burrow, and reigning MVP Patrick Mahomes. Herbert will face two of those three quarterbacks this season, and he will have a chance to outplay them head-to-head later this season.

If you know Herbert, you know MVP is not on his mind, but it could go a long way into his perception. Having an MVP under his build would be a huge boost in his legacy, and if you add postseason success into that equation, he will be mentioned with Mahomes, Burrow, Lamar Jackson, and Allen.

Football is the ultimate team sport, but an MVP could go a long way in Herbert's career; then again, so would a Lombardy Trophy.

Nonetheless, Herbert is in for a big season, and we'll be front row to witness it.
