Chargers News: Kellen Moore Downplays Revenge Talk Ahead of Monday Night Showdown
As the Los Angeles Chargers get set to take on the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football, the storylines entering the game have been a big talking point. Not only is the game a matchup of two teams that desperately need a win, but it's the first chance that LA offensive coordinator Kellen Moore gets to face his former team.
Moore left Dallas in the offseason to take the same role with the Chargers, and now he gets his shot to take down the Cowboys. However, Moore has downplayed this game's revenge aspect and said it is just football.
“Yeah, I think it’s easy for everyone to overthink it,” he said. “People are continuing to evolve, schemes evolve, schemes change. There are a lot of trends in this league. We get to over-analyze stuff a little during the week, and then we get to football as we get closer to Monday. I think a lot of that stuff is pretty overrated. It’s getting on the field and playing 11 on 11.”

He can say whatever he wants, but he knows that deep down, he wants to beat them. It may not be a vendetta against Dallas or anything, but if the Chargers were to win, it would be Moore getting one over on his former bosses.
It's human nature to want that, and the Bolts players know it, too. They will likely want to help get him the victory, so there could be some extra motivation going on Monday night.
However, the Chargers can't get caught up in that and must play their game. They can't afford to drop this matchup, so they will need to be focused.
Dallas presents different challenges for them, so it will be essential to come out early to set the tone. Sitting at 2-2, the Bolts know what is at stake, and if they can get over .500, it would benefit everyone involved.
