Even though it feels like eons ago, Khalil Mack wasn't always holding down the Los Angeles Chargers' defensive line and wrecking havoc on the opposing team's stars. He suited up for the Chicago Bears for fours seasons and even before that, he was drafted by the Las Vegas/Oakland Raiders and logged four seasons there as well.

When the silver and black opted to deal him away to Chicago, it took the NFL world by shock. He had been selected to the Pro-Bowl three times already and was making a name for himself as one of the top defensive threats in the league. However, his price tag wish had become more than their front office hoped and he had to go.

One of the closest bonds that Mack had built during his time with the Raiders was with starting QB Derek Carr. The pair entered their rookie seasons the same year in 2014 and were pivotal in helping end the franchise's 14-year playoff drought in 2016.

However, the Raiders are in the same division as your Bolts and Khalil Mack meant business when he saw them in 2022. Las Vegas finished with a 6-11 record and second to last in the AFC West.

It was decided that it would be best for both parties to move on from one another and Carr eventually found his way to the New Orleans Saints.

And it's looking like Mack is not a fan of this at all.

Khalil Mack on Derek Carr joining the New Orleans Saints: "That's strange. It looks awkward every time that I see him with the Saints logo on."

Mack will have to see Carr up close in his new threads at least three times up close this year as it's been revealed that the Chargers and Saints will face off in a preseason game and two practices leading up to that. He'll have to get used to it fast.
