Chargers News: Khalil Mack Ranks Above Most of Draft Class in Exclusive Category
When the Los Angeles Charges acquired Khalil Mack last season, it was viewed as one of the best acquisitions across the league. His reputation has been well-known as his stints with the Raiders and Bears solidified him as one of the best defensive linemen in the game.
Due to his talent and production, Mack has been invited to participate in numerous Pro-Bowl games while also being named an All-Pro before. He has also received the Defensive Player of the Year honors in the past and hopes to do so again in LA.
Mack is a product of the 2014 draft class that also features big names such as Aaron Donald, Odell Beckham Jr, and Davante Adams just to name a few. So many players that hit the scene that year have grown to become huge parts of professional squads and Mack has received the second-highest career grade among them, only coming behind Donald.
At 32-years-old, Mack is starting to become one of the older players at his position but it sure doesn't look like it. Along with the help of Joey Bosa, Mack was able to put the team on his back pretty much and give LA one of the best pass-rushing coverages in the league.
It is pretty ironic that Donald came out on top between the two considering that Mack just detailed the rivalry between the two in a recent episode of "Cold as Balls" with Kevin Hart. Both playing on the defensive line, they've competed for so many accolades and awards in the years they've been in the NFL and Donald has gotten the better of him.
However, that takes nothing away from Mack who is still one of the best at what he does and we are sure glad to have him on our side.
