Chargers News: LA Adds Former All-Pro To Jim Harbaugh’s Staff
Your Los Angeles Chargers and head coach Jim Harbaugh have found their guy to coach the linebackers.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Chargers have named former San Francisco 49ers All-Pro linebacker NaVorro Bowman as their new linebackers coach.
Bowman, who had been linked to the gig earlier this week, joins a star-studded coaching staff alongside new offensive coordinator Greg Roman, defensive coordinator Jesse Minter, and pass coordinator Marcus Brad. All will play a key role in where Harbaugh wants to take this team.
It was reported just a day ago that Harbaugh was targeting Bowman, and the next day, he landed on his gu. It seems like everything Harbaugh wanted he got this off-season, and Charger fans hope that carries into the football field.
The former long-time 49ers' linebacker did it all in his eight-year career. He is a four-time first-team All-Pro, three-time Pro Bowler and a Butkus Award winner. On top of that, he's collected 798 tackles, 14 sacks, nine forced fumbles, and five interceptions in his legendary career. Now, he will be tasked with leading guys like Eric Kendricks and Kenneth Murray Jr. to new heights.
This is a slam-dunk hire for the Bolts, and we can't wait to see what he does with his position group. Harbaugh has yet to miss.
