The Los Angeles Chargers have been known as of late to be going all in on their offense as they get ready to turn many heads in the 2023 season. Austin Ekeler remains on the roster for now and it's largely due to his versatility at RB, Quentin Johnston was just drafted as the WR of the future, and they also have this one guy named Justin Herbert.

However, LA has quietly been building up their defense as well. Eric Kendricks was trusted by the front office to take on the responsibilities that Drue Tranquill had last season and one of the best outside linebackers in Tuli Tuipulotu was brought in during the draft as well for some youth.

Let's also not forget the additions of J.C. Jackson and Khalil Mack last offseason. The Bolts are definitely doing what they can to be a well-rounded squad and another player has reportedly become available that they could look to make a jump on soon.

Quinnen Williams is coming off of a 2022 campaign with the New York Jets that saw him named an All-Pro, record 12 sacks with 55 combined tackles, and establish himself as a top defensive piece in the NFL.

However, Williams is having disputes with the Jets over a new contract and has been said to have requested a trade. This is where your Bolts come in as they are being slated the favorites to bundle up a deal for him.

If the Jets trade Quinnen Williams, it will probably be to a team in the NFC. However, if he does land with an AFC team, it will probably be the Los Angeles Chargers. The Chargers had arguably the worst interior defensive line in football last year, and they haven’t done all that much to improve it. Williams would immediately shore up that weakness and might be the piece this team needs to finally take down the Kansas City Chiefs in the division.

Trade rumors are always flying at the point in the offseason so we will have to see how much weight this one holds.
