Chargers News: LA Loses Out On FA Target Dalton Schultz To Conference Rival Texans
The Los Angeles Chargers have been watching their pockets these past few days as free agency closes up. However, two names they have still been heavily linked to are John Johnson III and Donald Parham.
However, they must now look elsewhere if they want to add another tight end as the Houston Texans have beat them to signing Donald Parham. He joins the growing list of players to ink a one-year deal in this year's free agency.
The deal is worth $9 million and was first reported by the NFL's Tom Pelissero.
"The #Texans are signing TE Dalton Schultz to a one-year deal worth up to $9 million, per sources. Schultz has 198 catches and 17 TDs over the past three seasons in Dallas. He’s still only 26."

Schultz is coming off a season for the Dallas Cowboys that saw him suit up for 15 games and bring in 57 receptions with 577 total yards. At 26-years-old, he still has a lot of growing he can do and can definitely help out a new-look Texans squad.
Luckily for the Bolts, they are still good at the tight end position as they have already brought back Donald Parham and could potentially draft Michael Mayer.
