Chargers News: LA Ranks in Top 5 For Team Travel Totals in 2023
Your Los Angeles Chargers will enter the 2023 season and look to dominate off the rip. The Chargers know who they'll play and when they'll play them, and we can't wait for those matchups.
Hopefully, the 2023 season will consist of many wins, but one thing is certain, it will consist of a ton of travel. Sports columnist for the Boston Herald Bill Speros shared a rundown of how far each team will travel this season. LA is in the number-five spot with a total of 26,102 total mileage and will go through 30 time zones.
The four teams in front of the Bolts are their LA counterpart Rams, the Miami Dolphins, the San Francisco 49ers, and the Seattle Seahawks to cap off the top five.
Your LA Chargers will be heading to the northeast twice to face AFC East opponents New York Jets and New England Patriots. They'll also travel to Tennessee and the mid-west to play the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings. Of course, the Bolts will also travel to Kansas City, Denver, and Las Vegas.
That is a lot of miles, and flying a ton can cause a lot of wear and tear to the body. Last season, the furthest east the Chargers went was to Atlanta to take on the Falcons, and now they'll be making two appearances far into the east coast.
The good thing is Los Angeles will have nine home games and eight road games, thanks to the 17-game schedule. This season is going to be a fun one, wishing our Bolts safe travels as well.
