Your Los Angeles Chargers have announced that they will be releasing starting guard Matt Feiler. He spent his last six seasons with LA and had an $8.5 million jump in his contract heading into 2023.

The news was first provided by the NFL's Ian Rapoport.

Despite his experience with the franchise, Feiler's production dropped over the past two seasons and the front office did not believe his play matched the money he was about to be owed moving forward. His availability was great however as he appeared in all 17 games.

Unfortunately, LA is in the midst of trying to save every dollar they can given their salary cap situation. Feiler is still just 30-years-old and is likely to draw interest from a number of teams that are looking to contend and can offer the money he is seeking.

Feiler played college football at the University of Bloomsberg and went undrafted but was picked up by the Houston Texans, where he played before the Pittsburgh Steelers and his most recent team in your Los Angeles Chargers. We will keep you updated on where he lands next.
