Chargers News: Lamar Jackson Has Super Bowl Aspirations After Owning Bolts
After their Week 12 win over the Bolts, the Ravens sit at 9-3 and atop the AFC standings.
Led by MVP candidate and quarterback Lamar Jackson and backed by arguably the league's best defense, John Harbaugh's group is a nightmare to play against.
Lamar Jackson made some comments after their victory against the Bolts (per Jamison Hensley of ESPN):
"Getting into the Super Bowl is a goal, but we're going to just take it a week at a time," Jackson said. "That's all we can do. We can't worry about being the No. 1 seed or anything like that. It's the NFL. Anything can happen."
Jackson's comments can best be described as "cautiously optimistic," as the former MVP believes the Ravens can get to the Super Bowl, but is planning to take it "a week at a time."
The Ravens' schedule is fairly difficult from here on out, having matchups against the Rams, Jaguars, 49ers, Dolphins, and Steelers. The Rams are playoff-hopeful but not an easy beat, while the Jaguars, 49ers, and Dolphins, all comfortably lead their divisions.
Pittsburgh has been a notoriously difficult matchup for Baltimore, and is also playoff-hopeful (and likely), while already having escaped with a victory in their matchup earlier in the season.
With a wide-open AFC, especially in comparison to recent years with factors such as the Joe Burrow season-ending injury, Buffalo's downfall, and more, expect the Ravens to headline the AFC playoff race alongside the Chiefs.
