Chargers News: LA's Week 1 WR Opponent Could Face Legal Charges

Will this affect the Bolts' first game of the new season?
In this story:

We are still over three months away from the 2023 NFL season officially starting and it cannot come soon enough. Your Los Angeles Chargers are super eager to prove to the world that they have what it takes to not only compete for the top spot in the AFC West but to place themselves amongst legit Super Bowl contenders in the league.

It's been a very productive offseason for the Bolts all-around. A number of their key contributors such as J.C. Jackson, Joey Bosa and Mike Williams all have been progressing well in their separate recoveries from injury. Justin Herbert has already gotten the opportunity to connect with some of his new teammates and new offensive coordinator Kellen Moore has gotten a first look at what he will be working with this year.

All of this will be on full display when LA takes on their week one matchup in the Miami Dolphins at SoFi Stadium on September 10. We last saw both of these squad face off in December of last year with the Bolts coming out on top 23-17. There will be plenty of storylines here, especially the everlasting debate of who is better between Justin Herbert and Tua Tagovailoa.

However, it appears that an even bigger storyline has hit us and we have yet to see if it will affect the Chargers' first game of the year. Miami's star WR Tyreek Hill could be in some serious legal trouble after an alleged incident on Father's Day in which he got into a heated altercation with a marina employee.

The Miami Herald provided full details of the incident and how it adds on to a past history of alterations that Hill has gotten himself into. However, we are here to talk football and if he is unable to suit up for the Dolphins in week one, they will have to look elsewhere to fill that void.

Hill is coming off of one of the best seasons of his career in which he was able to record 1,710 yards on 119 receptions. He is still just 29-years-old and will plenty more seasons of elite production in his tank. With the Bolts' defense looking to improve vastly in 2023, Hill would be a great test for them off the jump but if he doesn't play, they will have to focus on putting more pressure on Tua as he will not have his favorite passing target passing available.

We hope the case is resolved soon and that both parties can be brought justice.
