Chargers News: Morgan Fox Reveals what Made Him Re-Sign with LA
The Los Angeles charger headed into 2023 free agency with not the best of wiggle room to work with. Even in the days leading up to it, they were about $20 million over the cap limit and had to restructure some contracts just to make ends meet.
However, they were able to just in time and lay their priorities out as well. Making Austin Ekeler the highest-paid running back in the league was not really in the mix but they were able to re-sign a number of key contributors such as Trey Pipkins III, Jalen Guyton, and Morgan Fox.
Fox is coming off of his best year with the Bolts as he put up a career-high 24 tackles and made his presence felt every time he suited up. He's barely entering his second season with LA but the front office obviously wanted him back and it seems as though he reflected those feelings.
""I wanted to be here," said Fox. "I love the guys, I love the coaches, I love the area, I love the fans. It's really hard not to enjoy just being here, in general," Fox later added. "Being able to have the opportunities that are presented to me with the coaching staff and just being able to play with the caliber of players that we have, it's really, really enticing to stay back here. I really wanted to be back here and help go take this team in the direction that we're all trying to go in."

We cannot wait to see the improvements that he makes in his second professional season in LA and he will be joined on the defensive line by Eric Kendricks. He's already spoken very highly of him and some great chemistry is bound too be built.
