Chargers News: NFL Analyst Praises Bolts, Claims Superior Talent in AFC West

It's time to make good on some promises.

Garnering a heap of praise across the football world in the offseason, the Chargers are used to their proverbial winners of the offseason moniker that has long plagued the franchise.

One analyst sees this as the year for the club to finally do so, wanting to shed the narratives from years past that have dogged the Bolts' mentality to simply finish the job.

Schein is absolutely right in that the Chargers have had all the talent in the world to make some noise in the playoffs, but the team hasn't seen a Super Bowl since last century.

Despite the best efforts of Philip Rivers, Dan Fouts, LaDainian Tomlinson, and plenty of other Chargers legends, the franchise hasn't been able to get over the hump and lift Lombardi for one reason or another.

The Bolts need to change that this season, with the Chiefs as vulnerable as they have ever been with Patrick Mahomes and their other competition in the Raiders and Broncos in flux with new rosters and plenty of questions.

Loaded at the skill positions with receivers such as Keenan Allen and exciting young rookie Quentin Johnson, among others, Justin Herbert will have plenty of weapons to seal the deal in 2023.

On the other side of the ball, pass rushers in Joey Bosa and Khalil Mack are back to terrorize opposing quarterbacks. J.C Jackson leads a young secondary who wants to prove more of their pedigree for the upcoming season.

Bringing in Eric Kendricks for the middle of their defense, LA is getting a veteran presence who should shore up some of the tackling woes that doomed them last season.

All of the pieces are in place for Brandon Staley's men, who have already expressed a desire to shed their past and make it far in the AFC playoffs like the days of old.
