Bolts fans know the agonizing season that LA's offense just had under previous offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi, but there's optimism in the air.

Discussing his thoughts on what Chargers QB Justin Herbert could look like in new OC Kellen Moore's system, one fantasy analyst expressed excitement for the former Duck.

Yates mentioned that a near-dead-last finish in yards per attempt on Herbert's passes in 2023 could dramatically increase, with Dallas' QB Dak Prescott finishing 11th in the same category for the Cowboys' offense last season.

Though Herbert could be more susceptible to interceptions like Prescott was last year, the added air on his throws and the receiving talent at the Chargers' disposal should offset the possible negatives of taking deeper shots down the field.

Fans and analysts were begging Lombardi's offense to throw it deeper, given the arm talent that they had in their QB room with the former No. 6 overall pick in 2020.

Not only should the offense improve in the record books and on stat sheets, but multiple Chargers players could get a boost in fantasy production as a result of the Bolts' changes in offensive philosophy.

Loaded with receiving talent in Keenan Allen in a new role and Mike Williams as a physical force of nature, LA brought Quentin Johnston to the fold with their first-round pick on the TCU receiver this past April.

Between a contract dispute and an earlier trade request early in the offseason, running back Austin Ekeler is back in the blue and gold backfield, ready to score touchdowns and catch plenty of passes as one of Herbert's safety valves.

Such a change in systems should bear fruitful results, and fans at SoFi Stadium have all the more reason to believe the team could make their first Super Bowl in decades.
