Chargers News: NFLPA Votes One Bolt Onto Second Annual Players All-Pro Team

LA's rookie speedster earns a spot on Players All-Pro Team.

There wasn't much to be proud of regarding the Los Angeles Chargers' g miserable 2023 season. There were many more downs than ups; however, there were a few bright spots in the 5-12 season that the Chargers went through.

One of the bright spots was the emergence of their rookie speedster and return specialist, Derius Davis. Davis made his presence known on special teams, which earned him a spot on the second annual Players' All-Pro Team.

Davis earned a spot in the punt return category.

In 17 games and two starts as a punt returner, davis had 24 returns for 385 yards, one touchdown, with an average return of 16 yards and his longest being 87 yards. As a kick return, he had 17 returns for 374 yards, 22 yards per kickoff return, and his longest was 46 yards.

Davis, 23, was drafted by the Chargers in the fourth round with the 125th overall pick. He was the second player the Bolts drafted out of TCU, along with the team's first overall pick, wide receiver Quentin Johnston.

Johnston didn't make his presence known in his rookie year, but Davis certainly did with his explosiveness on special teams.

Congratulations, Deruis, and we cannot wait to see you do more with the Bolts next season.
