There's a lot of preseason talk going on, and a lot of it is mentioning Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert, as many people expect him to do big things in 2023.

The fourth-year Chargers QB has been on a roll since his rookie season in 2020, and with all of the offseason acquisitions he's made, there's lots of room for improvement and success for Herbert and the Bolts.

NFL Network Analyst Buckie Brooks, and PFF Analyst and Co-Host of the PFF Forecast Podcast, Brad Spielberger, had a discussion about which players they think will break some records this season.

Spielberger's pick - Justin Herbert.

Spielberger predicts Justin Herbert will be the fourth-ever QB to have a 50+ touchdown season in 2023. Honestly, this prediction isn't as bold as it may sound.

The acquisition of Kellen Moore as the new Bolts Offensive Coordinator says "pass, pass, pass" all over the Chargers gameplan, and with a healthy Mike Williams, Keenan Allen, and now third-member of the Wide Receiver core, Quinten Johnston, this possibility seems more likely than not.

This offensive core looks very similar to when Moore had his first stint with the Cowboys - the addition of a rookie like Johnston is equivalent to the Cowboys picking up CeeDee Lamb from the draft in 2020.

The run game for the Chargers might be minimized, but that doesn't mean Moore won't look to utilize Pro Bowler running back Austin Ekeler.

A nice and easy curl route within 10 yards in the end zone seems like some touchdown fodder, tallying up Herbert's TD count.

There's no doubt that there is a lot of excitement for the Chargers as a whole, but let's see if they can play up to this preliminary pressure.
