One of the biggest takeaways from experts and fans looking into what the Chargers did not do in the 2023 NFL Draft was them not grabbing a TE.

LA still did go pretty offense-heavy with their selections and rightfully so as they want to find guys to complement Justin Herbert. However, I think that the move for them is to look for someone that can serve as a strict blocker on offense as Kellen Moore cooks up his plays.

Luckily for the Bolts, the Houston Texans have been cleaning house as of late and parted ways with their veteran TE Eric Tomlinson.

Tomlinson first entered the NFL in 2016 and carved out three seasons with the Jets. He has suffered numerous injuries since then as he suited up for the Baltimore Ravens, New York Giants, and New England Patriots since then as well.

However, Tomlinson finally found a more consistent role with the Denver Broncos last season as he played 17 games and focused mainly on blocking for other receiving while catching nine passes of his own.

It was just a few weeks ago that he joined the Texans but as they look to prioritize their youth, he founds himself in hunt of a new team.

This is where the Bolts could definitely jump in. With numerous receiver threats in Keenan Allen, Mike Williams, and the newly-added Quentin Johnston, Tomlinson could help generate more looks for them on a low contract.

Keep an eye our for this potential move folks.
