The Los Angeles Chargers will be heading into the 2023 season with one of the most explosive offenses in the league. In large part, that is thanks to their superstar quarterback Justin Herbert; he will be heading into his first year with a ton to prove and a lot on his shoulders.

However, the Bolts' offense has other pieces that will be able to take them over the top, including their rookie first-round pick Quentin Johnston. Johnston was taken with the 21st pick in the draft and is primed to be a threat in the offense alongside receiving cores Keenan Allen and Mik Williams.

Johnston sat down with Fantasy Football Guru Matthew Berry at the NFLPA rookie premiere and described what he could bring to the team and what it will be like to play with Herbert.

Johnston has made himself the reputation of being a guy who is known as a deep threat, and he specialized in that in college. The former TCU Horned Frog had a tremendous junior season that saw him snag 53 catches for 901 yards, an average of 17.0 yards per catch. That number goes to show that he is no joke when it comes to making deep, exciting plays.

The Bolts' front office knew they needed something extra to boost the offense, and they got just that in Johnston. With the combination of Herbert's cannon of an arm and Johnston's vertical ability, LA is set to be one of the best offenses in the league. Alongside the other threats at their disposal, this season should be an exciting one filled with energy (pun intended).
