The Los Angeles Chargers have one more preseason game left before the real games get underway. Kickoff is 17 days away, and we'll see what the Chargers are made of soon enough.

With one preseason game under their belt, it'll give fringe players and rookies one more chance to shine and show they earn a spot on the team; however, that may be. That could very well be the case for a first-time football player and international signee C.J. Okoye.

Okoye played in his first NFL game last week in the preseason against the Los Angeles Rams. The big guy didn't grow up playing football, but he sure has the body for it; however, you couldn't tell when he recorded his first ever sack in any football game ever.

His story blew up after that, and apparently, it drew inspiration for those inside the organization, including LA's defensive tackle Sebastian Joseph-Day

SDJ joined the Chargers' weekly podcast and discussed how his teammate has grown and improved himself.

For a veteran like SDJ to feel that way about a guy who just started playing football is really something. Okoye is a long shot to make the 53-man roster, but there could be a spot for him in the practice squad.

SDJ's words could carry a ton of weight for the young man who didn't even know what a sack was before he got it. Everyone loves an underdog story, and something like this, plus the growth that Sebastian was talking about, could go a long way for the franchise.

Whether he makes it or not, we'll never forget the story of C.J. Okoye, and neither will Joseph-Day.
