It turns out 2023 may have been our last opportunity to enjoy Los Angeles Chargers Pro Bowl edge rusher Khalil Mack in powder blue.

According to ESPN's Jeremey Fowler, "multiple teams" are eyeing the 2016 Defensive Player of the Year.

If the Chargers move away from Mack, they could save up to $20-plus million on their cap if they can trade or move him.

Mack is arguably coming off his best season since winning Defensive Player of the Year in 2016. The 33-year-old played and started in all 17 games and recorded a career-high 17 sacks, 74 total tackles, 21 tackles for loss, 22 quarterback hits, and five forced fumbles.

Mack was looking like his dominant self all 2023, even though his play didn't translate to a domiame Charger defense. Nonetheless, it was an excellent year for Mack, which earned him another Pro Bowl.

Losing your best defensive player is not ideal; however, it would be the intelligent and obvious move if the Chargers want to free up cap space. The Bolts have revamped their entire coaching staff, especially by adding elite defensive mind Jesse Minter, who led Michigan to the best defense in the nation.

Minter may not be able to use Mack on his defense this upcoming season. Nothing is set in stone, but at the same time, these reports are no surprise.
