When the 85th pick in the 2023 NFL Draft rolled around and it was the Los Angeles Chargers' turn to make a choice, they did not hesitate to go with the guy they believed they would strengthen their defensive line even more.

Daiyan Henley's name was called and his dream finally came true as he found out that he will now be joining the Bolts.

How Did He Fare At The College Level?

Henley is coming off of a senior season at Washington State that saw him record 106 tackles along with four sacks. He was also named to the All-Pac-12 Conference First Team and was a finalist for the Butkus Award.

Even though WSU did go 7-6 last season, Henley took care of business on his side of the ball. Scouts loved him ever since he began climbing the ranks in high school and he was solidified as a top LB in his class following the draft combine.

How Does Henley Feel About Playing In LA?

It is looking like Henley is very pleased to join the Bolts' roster and join their defensive line. He looked ecstatic when his named was called and I envision a very successful partnership for many years to come.

This is what he had to say on the matter.

"I want y'all to understand that I get to stay home and play in front of you guys... the people that I love the most," said Henley. "My LA natives and beyond, I want y'all to know that we always going to be rocking. It's time to get a ring, I promise I'm going to do whatever I can to make something happen on that defensive side of the ball."

We are beyond happy to hear this and we cannot wait to see him hit the field!
