Injuries suck. Unfortunately, it's as simple as that, and your Los Angeles Chargers are no strangers to that.

We're barely heading into Week 4, and the Bolts have already had their fair share of injuries. It started right away with their star running back Austin Ekeler going down in Week 1 due to a high ankle sprain, and he's missed the last two weeks of action.

However, all signs point to the return of the shifty and dynamic running back; however, the universe works in mysterious ways as they may gain Ekeler but have lost wide receiver Mike Williams for the rest of the season due to a torn ACL.

The Chargers can't seem to get right on the injury front, which is frustrating. Still, as NFL Network reporter Bridget Condon described it, it's bittersweet for LA's Wednesday practice.

She worded it that way because the return of Ekeler to practice and the loss of Williams to the season happened all in the same way.

Although the bad outweighs the good most of the time, this could mean the emergence of rookie wide receiver Quentin Johnston. Johnston has struggled in his first three games of the season and has yet to see the field for some significant time.

That will all change now, and we'll see if he can take advantage of it. Sadly, it had to come under these circumstances, but that's life in the NFL, and all eyes will be on Johnston and Ekeler to see how they perform this week in a must-win matchup against their rival Las Vegas Raiders.
