We're less than a week away from the Chargers' first preseason game, and so far, your Bolts are looking good.

Things seem to be clicking, and although there have been some hiccups along the way, LA is primed for a big season. Training camp has been competitive as heck, with both sides of the ball exchanging jabs from time to time, which is what we all hoped and expected from the team.

The players are doing their part, and so are the coaches, pushing them and putting them in game-like scenarios they'll most likely be in when the games matter.

LA's offensive coordinator Kellen Moore is spearheading that effort as he told Chargers senior insider Eric Smith his approach to practices and how it'll better the team in the long run.

"We're just going through all the different situations that come up in a season, whether it's 2-minute, end-of-game situations, sometimes some normal situations," Moore said. "There's a lot of different situations on a football game so we're trying to hit all those.

"You dabble in them throughout camp and then as we get closer [to the season], we refine them and get them ready to roll," Moore added.

The more practices feel like games, the more the team will be better prepared for when the game feels a bit too tight.

Moore is preparing the LA offense the right way, and with his game plan and talent at his disposal, he will undoubtedly take the offense to new heights.

He has all he wants with quarterback Justin Herbert under center and a plethora of weapons; this offense should be the best in the league. Moore has the right approach, and it won't take long to see how it all plays out when the games start to count.
