Chargers Projected to Fall Short of Last Seasons Win Total in 2023

Could LA prove the doubters wrong and exceed their projected win total?

The 2022 season was a challenging one for the Los Angeles Chargers as they underachieved due to a slew of injuries on both sides of the ball. Their misfortunes reached a climax when they blew a 27-point lead in the wild-card game against the Jaguars, a bitter end to a disappointing year. However, as they approach the 2023 season, the Chargers are looking to put those troubles behind them and start with a fresh perspective.

Despite their setbacks, the Chargers are ready to compete with the best in the league and take control of the AFC West. However, some skeptics, like NFL writer Brad Gagnon from Bleacher Report, don't think too highly of the Bolts, predicting they'll finish at 9 wins, going under on the Chargers' 9.5 win total.

They won 10 last year and had a quiet offseason while the rest of the conference went a little wild. If Justin Herbert takes another leap, they could still build on '22. But it's still a big climb ahead.
