Should they fall to the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday Night Football, the Los Angeles Chargers are staring down a 4-7 record. Though the Bolts have dropped some close losses to better teams, they might not be able to withstand the #2 ranked AFC team.

The Chargers need a win here to remain in the playoff hunt, so expect them to put forth a strong effort. Will it be enough, though? The Chargers Report staff make their predictions for the game.

Another prime-time game for the Bolts this weekend, and they have a tough task against the AFC-leading Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens defense will give the Chargers fits, but the loss of tight end Mark Andrews for Baltimore will hurt them on offense. Everyone is counting LA out after two poor performances in a row. But this is exactly the type of game that the Chargers will find a way to win, and they save their season…for now.

I think the Ravens get off to a hot start, Chargers pull back a little in the second half but it’s just not enough, as Baltimore is too good of a football team.

The Chargers have been able to keep their losses close this season, but that has been their Achilles heel. The Ravens won't allow this game to be that close. Herbert and company face an extremely good football team, and with Gerald Everett and Jayley Guyton being questionable, this could be a long night for the Bolts. That's not to mention Joey Bosa, JT Woods, and the injuries piling on the defensive side of the ball. The odds are stacked against them in the worst way possible.

The Chargers are entering must-win territory if they want to keep their playoff hopes alive, but unfortunately, they’re running into a juggernaut Ravens team looking to maintain their lead in the AFC North. I expect the Chargers to come out looking better than they did in their disappointing loss to the Packers, but it won’t be enough to beat the dominant Ravens.

The 31st-ranked Charger defense will have trouble containing the 6th-ranked Ravens offense in their Sunday night prime-time matchup. The Ravens sit in the top 10 in both their offense and defense, while the Bolts are the 10th ranked offense, and well, you read that first line. Although the Lamar Jackson-led Ravens will be without star tight end Mark Andrews, former All-Pro receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is starting to heat up, while rookie wide receiver Zay Flowers will see a major increase in targets. It will be an uphill battle for the Bolts, and even though I believe they can keep up with the Ravens, they will have a tough time stopping the Ravens pass game and the elusive Jackson under center.
