The only move they made on trade deadline day.

The Los Angeles Chargers had a quiet trade deadline day, as they made zero moves to improve their 3-4 roster.

However, following the official 1:00 p.m. deadline, it was revealed that the team did, in fact, do something on Tuesday.

NFL insider Tom Pelissero reported that the Chargers waived tight end Tre' McKitty.

McKitty was drafted in the third-round of the 2021 NFL Draft by the Chargers out of Georgia.

He unfortunately just never got going in the NFL with LA, as he made just 16 catches for 117 yards in 34 games.

This year, McKitty didn't make a single catch, and was mainly playing special teams.

He was behind Gerald Everett and Donald Parham Jr. on the depth chart, and the team felt that it was finally time to move on from him.

McKitty will now head to waivers, where he'll hope to find his next home. There's a lot of potential in the former third-round pick, so it'll be interesting to see how he does in his next landing spot.

For now, the Chargers will be moving forward with Everett, Parham and Stone Smartt as their tight ends, and now have an open spot on their 53-man roster.

It'll be interesting to see what they do with that spot ahead of Monday night's game against the New York Jets.
