Chargers Rumors: NFL Insider Believes The Bolts Could Face Defending Champs in Week 1
We're two days away from the release of the NFL schedule, and your Bolts' will be as anxious as us fans to find out when they'll play their opponents. The Chargers will look forward to seeing when they play who, especially their division opponents. Division matchups mean more, and that's no difference in the AFC West.
The Chargers may not need to wait long to face a division opponent. According to NFL insider Albert Breer, he believes the Bolts are an 'option' for the Kansas City Chiefs in the season opener. Breer also reported that some Kansas City folk believe it will be the Bolts.
Man, what a matchup that would be. The Chargers, who are looking to redeem themselves after a disastrous ending to the season, will be going into the Chiefs' banner night, looking to spoil it on the first game of the season. That will be something.
Since Chargers QB Justin Herbert became the starting quarterback, the matchups between LA and Kansas City have been classics. The Chargers have gone 2-4 in the past six games; however, outside of one game, all have been decided by six points or fewer.
If the NFL gifts us with these two AFC titans, it will be another instant classic against two of the best quarterbacks that the NFL has to offer.
