Chargers Sign Former Carolina Panthers Center Bradley Bozeman
The Los Angeles Chargers were in much-needed help at the center position, as starting center Corey Linsley is set to medically retire. That help has finally come in the form of former Carolina Panthers center, Bradley Bozeman.
Bozeman was initially drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in 2018, out of Alabama. Bozeman began his professional career at left guard for the Ravens, before shifting to play center in 2021.
After four seasons with the Ravens, he would sign a one-year contract with the Carlina Panther in 2022. On March 13, 2023, he signed a three-year extension with the Panthers and was cut on March 13, 2024.
The Chargers need an upgrade on their offensive line, and Bozeman offers huge upside as a six-year veteran.
Bozeman will be the starting center, which ultimately takes a concern off the board for the Chargers. They may still visit drafting a center with one of their seven picks in the draft, but having Bozeman is huge for the team moving forward.
He started all 17 games last season for the Panthers, and his release was likely due to freeing up cap space. While the Chargers have been quiet on the front of adding offensive line depth, this is a huge signing.
