Chargers' Star WR Target Signs with Klutch Sports Agency Amidst FA Decision
DeAndre Hopkins is making moves ladies and gentlemen and even though he hasn't revealed where he will be signing next, he decided to hire an agent as he determines where his next stop in the NFL is after representing himself for so long.
Kelton Crenshaw will be overseeing Hopkins' moves moving forward and he works for none other than Klutch Sports Agency. Rich Paul is the founder of the agency and most notably represents LeBron James, Odell Beckham Jr., and Zay Jones. Hopkins will certainly be in good hands here as Klutch has a nice history of landing their superstars some hefty contracts.
The Los Angeles Chargers have been linked to the star receiver as of late after he agreed to a release from the Arizona Cardinals after some failed extension and trade talks. Hopkins has mentioned Justin Herbert as one of the top QB's he hopes to suit up with one day and LA's front office could look to make a move for him now that he's up for grabs.
However, Tom Telesco and the rest of the Chargers' executives will now have to answer to Crenshaw as well if they enter serious talks with the All-Pro. LA already has a nice slew of depth at the WR slot so they shouldn't stress it too hard but the NFL's Ian Rapoport confirmed that the change in representation was made by Hopkins.
"Former
#AZCardinals
star WR DeAndre Hopkins has hired agent Kelton Crenshaw of
@KlutchSports
to represent him in free agency, source says. Hopkins had previously represented himself before signing with Crenshaw, who also reps Chase Young, Kayvon Thibodeaux and DeVonta Smith."

We'll have to see how this plays out but I can guarantee that Klutch will be lobbying for Hopkins to get the best deal possible and the Chargers might not be the squad to give it to him.
