We're 12 days away from the start of the 2023 season, Charger fans. It's been built up to be the biggest season in Chargers' franchise history, and we cannot wait till it gets started.

However, before the good stuff starts, the team needed to trim down their squad to 53, and your Bolts announced that news today.

Here are the 53 players that will represent the Chargers in 2023.

A total of 35 players got waived, including notable players like tackle Zack Bailey, WR Terrell Bynum, WR Keelan Doss, QB Max Duggan, WR John Hightower, OLB Carlo Kemp, and International Player Pathway (IPP) CJ Okoye did not make the cut.

The Chargers will open up the season with only two players on their physically unable to perform list (PUP): WR Jalen Guyton and DL Otito Ogbonnia.

Guyton is still recovering from a torn ACL he suffered early in the season in 2022, and Ogbonnia is receiving from a ruptured left patellar tendon.

We wish those guys a speedy recovery, and we wish the 53 men luck along with a great and healthy 2023 season.

We cannot wait to get this show on the road!
