When looking at a sport like football, one can argue that jersey number are more important to their players than any others. Suiting up for 17 games every season, having their face covered by a helmet, and only playing a certain number of snaps means that the NFL's athletes don't get to always make the biggest impression fans.

However, the number on the back of their jersey always stands out and the NFL's committee finally agreed to allow players to wear number zero once again. The Los Angeles Chargers WR Mike Williams saw this and immediately got to pondering.

A graphic of him wearing the alternative jersey surfaced on Instagram and he posted it up on his own story with a poll asking his followers and fans if he should make the switch for the 2023 season.

However, the results came back and despite being ultra-close, 51% of the voters told him not to do it so he decided that majority rules.

But he is no stranger to changing things up a bit every now and then. Williams has worn the number 81 since his rookie year in 2017. Prior to that, he rocked number seven during his time at Clemson in college.

Other notable players who have expressed that they would like to take advantage of the new rule and wear zero next season have been Calvin Ridley, Jack Jones, and Micah Parsons.
