As we inch ever closer to the NFL season starting, that also means that fantasy football season is upon us as well. It's time to start thinking about which players you may want on your roster and who could be sleepers in 2023. Nobody can have a team stacked with starters and it's always a good idea to draft players that could have upside or players that act as a handcuff, normally for running backs.

Pro Football Network seems to think that Chargers running back Joshua Kelley could be an intriguing option as a handcuff this season to Austin Ekeler. Kelley doesn't normally get much playing time but if an injury were to occur to Ekeler, Kelley likely is the next man up.

Last season, he put up 287 yards on 69 carries with two touchdowns. But this year, he could be unlocked. Los Angeles has a new offensive coordinator in Kellen Moore and Moore is known for preferring a two running back system. The Chargers will likely emphasis the running back by taking some of the load off Ekeler throughout the season. This is where Kelley comes in.

Much like Moore did during his time with the Dallas Cowboys, he divided up carries for his two backs and both were extremely successful.

Kelley could really benefit from this new system that Moore is going to implement. He could be a sleeper in the drafts this season and may be a viable option for those in deeper leagues to stash away. Watch out for Kelley this season and this entire Chargers offense.
