The Los Angeles Chargers have found their head coach, and he's no stranger to the NFL ranks.

Jim Harbaugh was a former player, notably with the Chargers, and last coached the San Francisco 49ers from 2011-2014. It was his first stint at the helm in the NFL, and he quickly turned the team around.

Harbaugh was a massive reason for the 49ers' success in the early 2010s, but it ended on bad terms. Harbaugh and the 49ers CEO Jed York clashed more than once, ending the Harbaugh era in San Francisco.

However, over a decade later, the two seemed to have buried the hatchet. York appeared on the TK Show podcast and said he was happy for Harbaugh to return to the NFL and excited for the Chargers.

I think Jim is a helluva coach. I think it’s a great spot for him. And I’m excited for the Chargers. I think they’ll be very successful

.”

(per Jed York via TK Show Podcast)

After the 49ers canned Harbaugh, he headed to be the head coach of his alma mater at Michigan. We all know how that ended.

Big egos and greed could get in the way of something special. That was the case for Harbaugh when he last came to the NF, and hopefully, that isn't the case for the Bolts.

Harbaugh and the front office seem on the same page, as they'll collaborate on many of their major decisions moving forward. The two sides will be critical to lead this team moving forward.
