Your Los Angeles Chargers will look for a bounce-back season in 2023. They came into the 2022 season with high expectations in a loaded division, and even though they finished second in the division, they failed to make it out of the wild card round.

That left a bad taste in every Charger fan's mouth, but a new season will start soon, and they will be ready to take the AFC by storm. They have all the talent in the world at almost every position; the only question is can they execute?

We're not sure yet, but Chargers' legendary linebacker Shawne Merriman believes in his Chargers. As a matter of fact, he went so far as to say that he thinks the upcoming 2023 Chargers have a better shot at winning a Super Bowl than his 2006 Chargers.

"I think collectively, what they have across the board, they have a better chance at winning a Super Bowl than we did. The path other than Patrick Mahomes is a lot different. It's wide open, I believe; I really do believe they have a shot."

The 2006 Chargers went 14-2 and lost to the Tom Brady-led New England Patriots in the divisional round. That team was stacked with talent, so for Merriman to have such high praise for the 2023 Chargers says something.

The AFC will be a blood bath as it has been the past handful of seasons. The quarterbacks in the conference are stacked with young superstar talents, and many will be around for years to come.

However, the Chargers have as good a chance as anyone to make a deep playoff run. The majority of that will fall on the heels of Justin Herbert, who will need to up his level of play for LA to be a real threat in the entire league.
