Former Chargers All-Pro Headed to AFC North Rival
Roster moves and cuts were at a frenzy in the past few days. Your Los Angeles Chargers have made some moves to prepare for the 2023 season, and so have the rest of the 31 NFL teams.
Some are more impactful than others, and this move may be it for an AFC North team that's trying to stay in contention.
According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, former Los Angeles Chargers draft pick and All-Pro cornerback Desmond King will head to the Steel City and sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
King will be joining the Steelers on their 53-man roster. The Houston Texas cut him on Tuesday, and with what he's accomplished in this league, it didn't take long for a team to snatch him up.
As a member of the Bolts from 2017-2020, King was named First-team All-Pro in 2018 and recorded 189 combo tackles, 14 tackles for loss, 13 QB hits, two force fumbles, four interceptions, and 17 passes deflected.
The Bolts also selected King in the fifth round of the 2017 NFL Draft. There is no doubt his best years came with the Bolts, and although he is with an AFC rival, we wish him the best this upcoming season.
