Despite the tough loss to the Dolphins on Sunday, some history was made as the Chargers star wide receiver reached an impressive career mark.

In the midst of a six-reception performance against the Dolphins, Keenan Allen hauled in his 800th career grab.

Allen is the fourth active receiver to reach this accomplishment. Currently, he only trails Julio Jones, Deandre Hopkins, and Travis Kelce with the most receptions.

On the all-time list, Allen is eight receptions behind Roddy White for 37th all-time.

Despite the 36-34 loss, Allen was one of Justin Herbert's top receivers in the game. With his six catches, Allen racked up 75 yards.

Unfortunately, Allen was unable to record a touchdown, which would be his 53rd of his career.

It has taken Allen 10 seasons and one game to reach this feat.

He debuted in 2013 as a 21-year-old. As a rookie, he propelled himself as a top receiver in the league when he racked up over 1,000 yards and eight touchdowns on the season.

Allen's best season came in 2017 when he won Comeback Player of the Year. Following a 2016 season where he was limited to one game with an injury, Allen recorded nearly 1,400 yards and eight touchdowns.

The four-time pro bowler is off to a good start to the 2023 season. With the addition of offensive coordinator Kellen Moore, the Chargers expect Allen to have a big season.

In his time with Dallas, Moore was leading one of the top offenses in football, and the Chargers hope he brings it over to Los Angeles.

The biggest benefactor of this will be Allen. With how the offense looks, it appears that Allen will record many more receptions before his career is over.
