Three seasons is all Justin Herbert has needed to get his name at least mentioned among the top quarterbacks in the NFL. It was very clear to many that he would be special coming out of Oregon but he exceeded all expectations when he became the first player to throw for over 4,000 yards in his first three years.

His impact was also immediate when he threw the most touchdowns by a rookie back in 2020 with 31. The Chargers have yet to snag a playoff win with him leading the way but with a new OC, healthy roster, and a big payday for Herbert soon, 2023 looks to change all of that.

And with the NFL still in its offseason and the NBA in its most exciting stretch right now about to enter the Finals, experts from LAFB Network have been having some fun and drawing comparisons between some NBA stars and players from your Bolts. We already went over a fun one of Keenan Allen and Jamal Murray but that was just the beginning.

Everybody is looking to Herbert to take over the mantle of the top quarterback in the league in the future. He possesses the skills, size, and marketing characteristics to be able to do so and he's already faced adversity in his early career.

NFL expert Jamal Madni believes that Herbert's uncanny ability to perform on the football field by using every physical trait he has along with the potential he carries is very similar to Memphis Grizzlies' superstar Ja Morant.

"The way he can find guys from different arm angles and positions is close to un-parallel in today's game," said Madni. "And so when you think about an NBA comp, you think about a guy that can just jump through the gym and another guys who's potentially the face of the league and my comp for him is Ja Morant."

These are definitely two of the biggest names in American sports right now and we cannot wait to see how much bigger they get.
